Tehy’s union representatives provide solid support in the workplace. Pay, shifts, annual leave – things do not always go according to plan. In these and other matters, the union representative is there to help you. They themselves are social and healthcare professionals and intimately familiar with your particular collective agreement.
In a workplace, the union representative monitors compliance with the collective agreement and labour laws. They provide advice and help with problems and when changes occur in the workplace, and they also negotiate with the employer on matters concerning the staff.

The working life guidebook provides information on many things. The guidebook contains answers to frequently asked questions in connection to matters such as pay, shifts, resignation and leave. It is worth checking if you can find an answer to your question there.
Attempts will always be made to first resolve any issues through a discussion between the supervisor and employee. If the matter is not resolved, the process proceeds according to a specific negotiation order.
I claimed holiday pay through Tehy, and with their help the matter was resolved. Eventually, the entire work community received retroactive payments from over the years, as there had been an error in the system. Nothing happened without the union, even though I had called all the other operators myself.
