Paying the subscription yourself

If employer collection is not possible for one reason or another or if you choose to opt out, you can also manage your membership fee payments yourself.

There are three self-payment methods: 

1. Calculator in the e-services 

  • log in to e-services.
  • click the section ‘check and pay your membership fee’ in the shortcut  
  • enter the data required to the membership fee calculator and click ‘calculate’ 
  • click the ‘Pay your membership fee’ button. It will take you to the payment action via Paytrail.

2. Payment references and virtual code 

  • log in to e-services.  
  • click the section ‘check and pay your membership fee’ in the shortcut  
  • enter the data required to the membership fee calculator and click ‘calculate’ 
  • you will be given a reference number and a virtual code for the payment, one of which you can use after logging into your online bank account.

You will also be sent the annual list of references by email in January. Check and update your email address through e-services. The reference list has a separate reference number for each month. Pay the installment through your online bank using the reference number of the month corresponding to your payment. Using the correct reference number is essential, as the membership fee is recorded as payment for the month the reference number of which you have used. 

3. Through the mobile application 

Sign into the mobile application using the same membership credentials as for Tehy’s website.

What income is included when calculating the membership fee?

Membership fee is calculated based on all taxable income paid to you by the employer: 

  • pay 
  • union representative’s remuneration
  • additional holiday pay and remuneration 
  • part-time work. 

If you have several employers, you will pay your membership fee based on your total taxable earnings.
