The Best of the World deserve better – Tehy’s campaign raises the voices of the sector’s professionals

Tehy is raising awareness of the social, healthcare and education professionals and their valuable work in the Best of the World campaign, launched on 20 March 2025. The campaign serves as a reminder to the decision-makers at the beginning of the social and healthcare sector negotiations that these professionals are worth holding onto.

The working conditions and pay level of the social, healthcare and education sector are decided on in the collective agreement negotiations this spring. In the Best of the World campaign, Tehy aims to increase the appreciation of the sector and concretely demonstrate the potential effects that competent, thriving personnel have on the functionality of society in general.   

“We would like to bring to the public debate that the future of the social, healthcare and education sector depends on our ability to hold onto our professionals. Without good working conditions and a fair pay level, it is impossible to guarantee high-quality care and early childhood education,” says Tehy President Millariikka Rytkönen.  

Best professionals in the world 

The campaign showcases Tehy members from different sectors and job descriptions, their stories, successes and passion towards their jobs.  

The campaign is highlighted on Tehy’s social media channels and website. Each professional showcased in the campaign will also have an impressive info card on them printed and sent to the decision-makers.   

“Our duty is to ensure that the decision-makers understand the invaluable importance of the sector’s professionals and act accordingly. The campaign gives voice to the professionals who work hard every day to improve the well-being of Finns,” says Rytkönen.
